Ruby Wright

I've always loved the dolls houses at the Museum Of Childhood. My work often plays with scale and in this print I've imagined my son reaching into the doll's house with another item from the Museum's Collection, a robot, which was made at about the same time as the doll's house. There is an implicit threat from this unwelcome visitor, which alludes to the Cold War and Space Race, but on a more domestic level, to the idea of a little boy sabotaging his sister's toys.
