Inspired by two very different large-scale exhibits, each having grandeur as a common property, my idea was to discover if this grandeur might be diminished when put into a much more modest context or, conversely, that the context might be given a certain dignity with the addition of grandeur.
My two photo-collages (presented together) each consist of a main photograph with découpage from other re-sized photographs, which were cut out and stuck on manually. The size stated is the two hung together side by side - each individually is 52x42.5x4cm
